Grants

The Nassau Education Foundation raises money through corporate and community donations to fund a teachers’ grants program in support of innovative projects that enhance the educational experience. Grants are awarded to those teachers whose requests have the potential to make the greatest impact in the classroom. Every school throughout Nassau County has received funds from our classroom grant program.

Our grants committee reviews all grant applications based on the following criteria. We have an established criteria for the review process to:

  • alignment with school and district goals
  • creativity and innovation of the request
  • effective use of resources
  • overall impact on teacher and/or student knowledge
  • establish evaluative measures of utilization

It is our hope that the grants program will encourage teachers to generate creative projects in areas where school budgets fall short or tax dollars cannot be used.

The foundation also participates in a $1 for $1 matching grant program administered by the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations (CFEF). Since the foundation’s inception, we have awarded CFEF-matched grants in the following areas: Career and Technical Education, STEM, and robotics.
